Movie Review

We watched this movie called Mao's last dancing. It's genre is kind of complicated to decide, but I think it's the closet with realistic genre which is a story that is true to life and that can happen in life. This movie is about a young man who is a Chinese Ballet dancer named Li Cunxin.
In this movie, the main character is Li Cunxin as I mentioned before a Chinese Ballet dancer. And the others are Ben, Elizabeth, Chan, Li's family, Charles, Lori and so on.This story takes place in China, America, Australia, if I say it more specifically, I would say Ben's house, train, Beijing art academy, China town, and so on.
The movie starts like this. When Li was young, he got picked from his school to go to Beijing because his class teacher suggested him. He was one of the 40 students who were chosen in the whole country of China. When we got there and took his classes, he thought that he was too weak and didn't to well as others, because his ballet teacher discouraged him by calling pig head all the times, and tease him. He cried many times because it was really hard for him to deal with these. But then he didn't want to be called like that, so he practiced every night with teacher Chan. He got better and better which led him to a popular ballet star in America. He performed in front of president and his wife. But he had to go back to China since the three month was over. However, he wanted to stay here. So he married with Elizabeth, and became more popular.
I think this movie was really good. Because it gave me some hope that I can reach my goal if I try hard and put all of my efforts in it. It was also fun which got my attention. While watching this movie, I thought my story was kind of related to this. When I first went to Hawaii, I attended elementary school as a 4th grader. At that time I couldn't even spell beautiful. I couldn't catch up my classmates, and I couldn't understand most of what my teacher is talking about. So I went to the lowest levels of everything. I always cried while doing my homework, because I couldn't understand what it means and it took me so much time. I mostly slept at 12 or more I think. But when I became 5th grade. I worked really hard with my studying, I went to the highest classes, and got chosen with student council, junior police officer, and so on. Like this you can achieve great things if you try really hard. After I saw this movie, I felt like I can reach my goal to be a pediatrician. I want to introduce this movie to teenagers who has a clear desired job, or a dream. I hope that you will learn new things after watching this movie and get more confidence.
